The Pre Health Professions Association is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) dedicated to serving the needs of pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, and pre-allied health students at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Hello everyone! Welcome back to another year at SIUC. On behalf of the Pre-Health Professions Association, I would like to invite anyone who is interested in a career in the health professions to attend our meetings. We have guest speakers at each meeting from various healthcare occupations, attend Pre -professional seminars, and visit professional schools.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet and ask questions of a person who has experience in the career of your choice. We meet every other Tuesday of each month in Life Science III Room 1059. Meetings start at 7 p.m. New members are always welcome.
(Spring 08: Mar 4th, Mar 18th, Apr 1st, Apr 15th, Apr 29th)
Gail Robinson, the Pre-Professional Advisor, works very hard to keep you up-to-date with information about your chosen career. She would love to hear from you! Feel free to ask her any questions you have about healthcare. Also, please visit the Health Professions Information Office page. The site has general career information and links to schools and application services.
The president of the PPA needs your ideas on ways to improve. If you would like to see topics that better suit your professional interests, feel free to contact us! We are open to suggestions. Send any of the officers an email!
Recent News: PPA visited the U of I Schools of Medicine and Dentistry in Chicago. See pictures of the trip here.
